How toTrade Forex

To accommodate individual trading styles and needs, we have two feature rich trading Platforms

Forex Price Maker Platform on a spread basis which also lets you trade Forex on 123+ forex pairs and foreign exchange options as well as CFDS, futures and stocks - I-Deal Trader and
Forex Market Price Platform which gives you the best available prices in the professional market. This means you can get forex spreads as low as and 1/2 a pip in the EuroUSD USDJPY and 1 pip in the USDCHF. These prices are generally good for US$25,000 parcels and as high as $30 million in European trading. This is called I-Deal Forex Professional.

1. I-Deal Forex Trader

There are several ways to trade Forex Spot within I-Deal Trader.

To make a simple spot trade on live tradable prices, use the columns of the Prices and Trade module.
To trade Exotic crosses or in amounts above the auto-execution threshold, use the Trade panel in the Prices and Trade module.
To trade directly in the order book, participate in the off-hours auction and to create orders relating to a particular trade, use the Forex Trade module.

Trade Forex Spot on live tradable prices directly from the columns of the Prices and Trade module.

Note: Not all instruments are tradable from the columns and the exchange may be closed! If the trade buttons do not appear, use the Trade Panel at the bottom of the Prices and Trade module to execute the trade.

To access the Prices and Trade module, select

Making a Trade

To make a trade from the columns:

Ensure that Enable Trading is selected in the Tools menu or depressed in the Toolbar.
If you have multiple accounts, select the Account you want to fund the trade with at the top of the Price module.
Select the Instrument you want to trade by clicking on it in the Price module.
(To add an instrument to the list, type its name in the New Instrument field. You can also open the Instrument Explorer and drag & drop the instrument from there.)
Enter the Amount in the Amount column.
Enter a checkmark in the Trade column - the Bid and Ask prices will become trade buttons.
Click the button in the Bid/Sell column or the button in the Ask/Buy column.
A Trade confirmation will appear if your trade is successful.

2. Forex Market Price Platform

This platform gets the best prices in the market and gives you them. Notice the 1 pip spread in the Pound. 1 pip in the USDCHF & 1 pip in the Euro. Plus you can trade your Futures and US Stocks on here. This is a wonderful platform and imagine the benefits of trading a 1 pip spread or a 1/2 pip spread.
